Grants to help with your Campaign!

If your Indiana congregation has been sensing a call to launch a capital campaign — but concerns about cost keep getting in the way — there’s a resource you may not know about.

The Center for Congregations offers Resource Grants of up to $25,000 (as a matching grant) to help Indiana congregations fund exactly the kind of professional support that makes campaigns succeed. That includes consulting services like feasibility studies, campaign counsel, and stewardship coaching.

Resource Grants up to $25,000 — a matching grant available to qualifying Indiana congregations for a wide range of expenses, including professional consulting services.

What is the Center for Congregations?

The Center for Congregations is an Indiana-based organization funded by the Lilly Endowment that exists to help congregations of all sizes and traditions strengthen their ministry. Their grant program is designed to reduce the financial barriers that keep good work from getting started.

For congregations that qualify, a Resource Grant can cover up to $25,000 in expenses — meaning the cost of experienced campaign counsel doesn’t have to be the reason you say no to a project your community is clearly being called toward.

Is Your Congregation Eligible?

The grant program is open to Indiana congregations across denominations. An Equity Grant option is also available for rural congregations or congregations of color with annual income under $100,000, offering a 90/10 match up to $25,000.

The Center for Congregations walks you through the process from application to final reporting — you’re not navigating it alone.

The Bottom Line

A capital campaign is one of the most significant moments in a congregation’s life. Having the right guidance matters — and now you know that funding that guidance may be more accessible than you thought.
